It is not observation of, but rather participation in the phenomena of Nature that brings us to our greatest understanding of our place in the mosaic of life.

About Wolf Tree

Founded in 2007, Wolf Tree Programs LLC has grown to include a wide variety of programs for kids and adults. Over the years, we’ve put together an experienced and accomplished team of leaders, each of whom brings unique skills and ways of relating to participants. Wolf Tree is part of a regional, national, and international network of wilderness schools that use a similar mentoring model to foster nature connection.

Our programs focus on developing naturalist knowledge and ancestral skills so that we learn how to participate more fully in the natural world. From storytelling to wandering the land, identifying wild edibles to fire-making, we use a variety of techniques to get participants excited about being outside and following their curiosity. The common thread through all our programs is spending time outside and working with others in a way that values each participant’s natural gifts and strengths.

Our mentoring approach is a long-term, relationship-building model that uses natural cycles to support human development at each life stage. Rather than a set curriculum that we teach, we support participant’s individual interests and motivations, encouraging the growth of their gifts and passions. Through deepening nature connection and the approach we use, participants develop greater self-awareness, community-building skills, and gratitude for the natural world.
